Oh This Isn't Kroger?
{I walk into a grocery store not knowing which one it is, I'm walking along, clearly lost. I call my mom}
Me: Mom I can't find them.
Mom: What do you mean you can't find them?
Me: I can't find them, that diagram you gave me was no help, it's clearly not the same.
Mom: What do you mean of course it is.
Me: Mom I'm in the store and it's not the same.
Mom: Well did you ask the butcher?
{Inside joke}
Me: Ha I didn't think to ask the butcher.
Mom: Well I still need them.
Me: Well looks like you might have to do without.
{I walk up to the butcher}
Me: Mom hold on one second.
Me: Do ya'll have anymore Chitlins?
Butcher: We don't carry Chitlins.
{I look at some back and see some sort of logo, then it clicks}
Me: Wait where am I?
Butcher: Tom Thumb
Me: Oh this isn't Kroger?
Butcher: No
Me: Oh oops...
Mom: OMG, did you really not know what store you where in?
Me: Okay I'm pretty sure people make that mistake often.
Mom: That's why the diagram wasn't helping.
Me: Mom stop with the diagram!
Mom: Well I'm just saying.
Me: Well I feel dumb now
Mom: Mmmm my child, how I love you so.
Me: Bye.
It was an interesting day lol
Time To Let Go
I think that sometimes we get caught up in what other people think and that defines how we look at ourselves. We base most if our decisions on what other people say and think of us, and the last thing we want is somebody putting us in a bad light. I think that we need to break away from what the “norm” is, and start following our hearts.
